HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Newnan Serves More Than 700 Patient During First Year
HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Newnan celebrates its first year of providing physical rehabilitation services to patients throughout Coweta and surrounding counties on Dec.2. In its first year, the hospital will serve more than 700 patients recovering from conditions such as stroke and other neurological disorders, cardiac and pulmonary conditions, brain and spinal cord injuries, complex orthopedic conditions, and amputations.
One of those patients is Edie Wade. Wade incurred many fractured and broken bones on August 10 while out on a motorcycle ride with her husband. Their three-wheeled motorcycle spun out in gravel and threw her and her husband off of the bike onto the ground. Given only a 10 percent chance to live, Wade is now back home with her husband where she is able to navigate with assistance thanks to the help of the team at HealthSouth Newnan.
“Our biggest reward is seeing patients like Edie get back to the lives they had before a life-changing illness or injury,” says Ilona Wozniak, CEO of HealthSouth Newnan. “And to think that we have improved the lives of more than 700 individuals in one year is quite remarkable. I’m proud of my team. They work hard every day to help our patients reach their goals.”
HealthSouth Newnan is one of three HealthSouth hospitals in the state of Georgia and one of 120 HealthSouth hospitals across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
